A marble cake is a cake with a streaked or mottled appearance (like marble) accomplished by gently mixing light and dull batter. It might be a mixture of vanilla and chocolate cake, in which case it is chiefly vanilla, with streaks of chocolate. However playing with flavors is always fun.

When I first started baking I usually looked up to recipes which were quick and easy and thus I found this recipe. Easy and delicious.. also the picture depicts that its a home cook recipe not a chef version (which usually disappoints me in end because I am unable to put up the same look alike dish).
